Bacon Wrapped Dates

bacon wrapped dates (AIP)

I love easy, simple food that is also delicious and nutritious. It has been my goal from the start to use my writing as a means of showing others that following a real food diet, like AIP or Paleo, doesn’t have to be complicated. This recipe is a perfect example of that.

bacon wrapped dates Bacon wrapped dates are pretty much my all-time favorite appetizer. They are so easy, yet taste and sound so sophisticated. I mean lets be honest, anything wrapped in bacon is a winner, is it not? Recently, I wrote a post about entertaining on AIP and I recommended that you keep it classic and simple when hosting non AIP friends and family for dinners or celebrations. This appetizer is perfect for these types of situations. These little morsels take five minutes to prepare and then you can be on your way, preparing the rest of your meal. In the mean time, your family and friends will be so impressed by your delicious homemade app. that you’ll have them excited about the meal to come long before it reaches the table.

Following the autoimmune protocol has really opened my eyes to how delicious so many non mainstream foods can be, like liver, bitter greens, and random root veggies but every now and again it is nice to remember that being on the autoimmune protocol doesn’t always have to be exotic, sometimes it can just be simple and amazingly delicious at the same time!
